dr david

I am seeing patients at our Countryside location on Tuesday and Thursday mornings between 0830-1130. I am available to conduct telehealth visits as well for established and new patients if allowed by their insurance company. Please understand we are not able to respond to voicemails except during those business hours.

Please leave voicemail messages on the following number: 727-461-6026 ext 1432.

Patients with new complaints that are not urgent/emergent will be asked to reschedule their appointments.

Patients who are in the middle of an injection series or who are scheduled for their first post-operative appointment will be rescheduled while we adjust office staffing and space to accommodate them and ensure the safest environment possible.

Lastly, the current ban on elective surgery means that all patients with surgery scheduled before 4/30 will need to be rescheduled.  I will keep a list of patients and as soon as we have a firm start date, I will reach out to you to reschedule.  Most of the preoperative preparation will be accepted by the hospital as long as you haven’t had a significant change in health status. We may need to repeat your labs if they are older than 90 days.  If you feel like your surgery is more urgent and cannot be safely postponed, please contact me so we can discuss whether you meet the exception criteria established by the hospital or government.

If you develop a concern that you believe is URGENT or EMERGENT, you may need to utilize  Baycare urgent care or emergency room.  They will remain open and have the appropriate protective equipment.  However, they are also concerned about your safety and have set up a hotline 1-800-BAYCARE (229-2273). They request that you call prior to coming in so they may direct you to the most appropriate site of care.

If you develop a concern that you do not believe is urgent or emergent, please contact me at the numbers below.  Leave a voicemail if necessary.

I am able to conduct telehealth visits on doxy.me.

You will need a phone or computer with a camera and microphone as well as a strong WiFi signal. If you would like to request a telehealth appointment, please email me at davidwhiddonmd@gmail.com or call our office at 727-461-6026 ext 1738 (Nikki).

This is a very challenging time for all of us as we navigate completely uncharted waters.  Your well-being and the safety of my staff are my highest priority at this time.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
