Erin is a native of the Tampa Bay area. She attended Florida Southern College in Lakeland and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in athletic training in 2003. While in college, she was a member of the varsity volleyball team and was named the Female Scholar Athlete of the Year 2003. She earned her degree in physician assistant studies from the University of South Alabama in 2006 and joined a general orthopedics practice in Anderson, South Carolina where she treated a variety of orthopedic conditions. After a short absence from practice to focus on her family, she joined Dr. Whiddon at Orthopaedic Associates of West Florida in early 2016. She sees patients at our Trinity and Countryside locations.
Matthew Krause is a NCCPA Board certified physician assistant, who joined Dr. Whiddon’s team in 2019. He previously practiced with another orthopaedic group in Pinellas County since 2015. As a physician assistant, Matthew is trained to diagnose and treat common orthopaedic conditions in the clinic setting, as well as first assist in surgery. He has surgical experience with adult reconstruction, arthroscopy/sports medicine, trauma, and foot and ankle reconstruction.
Matthew graduated from the College of Charleston in 2008, with a B.S. in Biochemistry. He attended the New York Institute of Technology for his Masters in Physician Assistant Studies, graduating in 2015. Originally from Chesapeake, Virginia, Matthew has now found a home on the West Coast of Florida. He enjoys fishing, playing golf and is an avid fan of live music.
